I heard awhile ago that they were supposed to tear down the last of the three apartment buildings on Steuben St. in Crafton. I heard they were supposed to be putting an Aldi's there. Well the apartment building is still standing and nothing has been done to it. Does anyone have some information? Glad to see the Crafton-Ingram shopping center actuallygetting real places. Hopefully they can revamp the interior of the shopping center.

I can honestly say that whatever I hear about Aldi's is that the new stores usually seem like a rumor at first. Then it takes them (seems like) forever to really get any kind of ball rolling (meaning tearing buildings down, building the new one, getting a confirmed word that it is happening.)

I would say it's true, but you won't see anything for a while.

There is an Aldi right in McKees Rocks. I doubt they would build another store so close, especially with Save a Lot already there.

There is also an Aldi in Robinson Township, adjacent to Crafton on the other side.

See! lol. They seem to take forever theier stores that I lose track of where they're going or if they are even confirmed. Is the Friendship (I thought it was Bloomfield?) store confirmed?

Have you ever been to one? So not worth having a stroke over.

It's at Baum and Roup. Too many names for this small area. And it looks as if no one has been in there since the Dodge dealership closed.

Aldi's are OK. I go there for big orders like stocking up the cabinets and freezer. They're better than Savealot.

I always felt that the old Lenny Levy Chrysler dealership was in East Liberty. A friend of mine back in school lived behind there on the 300 block of Stratford always described their residence in that way.

BITD, I never heard of Bloomfield or Friendship. I thought that area was East Liberty, too, which was, like, North Shadyside.
