Agreed. I'd rather the office demand hold on for a tower that uses a vacant lot, or maybe will increase the height of some of the large-scale developments on the periphery of downtown. A 30-story building isn't going to do very much for the street scape or skyline in this location. I hope they keep this old building and bring it back to a beautiful state instead.

If you walk by the building often, notice that there is a sign attached to the side of the building announcing the renovation of it (not the demolition or replacement of it).

Where is the sign? I usually walk up Smithfield and cross Fifth over to Grant? I'll have to see if I catch it...
