I do not like their chicken at all. At first I thought maybe it was the location where I went. Then I tried several other Popeye's.....same thing. I wound up tossing it in the trash.

Yea, I really disliked the seasoning on the chicken there - though that's of course all subjective as the popeyes near me was always busy, but me personally will choose KFC or chic-fil-a for my fast food chicken fix.

Yelp and Urbanspoon are your friends folks. All you have to do is pick a neighborhood and a lower price range and you'll find quick and cheap food instantly (everyone here obviously has an internet connection). If you have a smartphone this process is even easier as you can go directly to said restaurant.

I should also mention that I've eaten in the East End literally thousands of times in my life and have never payed anything close to $30 bucks a plate.

Sorry to see Popeye's go. Wish we could get a Bojangles' up here.

There's a Burger King in the Southside, as well as one inside the Petersen Event Center. There's also some in the suburbs, such as Robinson and Glenshaw.

There's a Burger King in North Versailles and a Long John Silvers/A&W on Rodi Road in Penn Hills near the PennDOT drivers license center.

It's sad about Popeyes leaving the area completely. While I didn't see much of a difference with KFC in the chicken, I liked their side dishes much better. The mashed potatoes had some flavor and they served red beans and rice.

I'd be pleased if Whataburger and Jack in the Box opened franchises here, Jack in the Box mostly for the commercials. I'm not too sad about CiCi's leaving, but would love for a Mr. Gatti's pizza buffet to open nearby.

I'd kill someone in front of their own momma for a Burger King in the city / Oakland.

Why no Burger King? Why no Chick-Fil-A? Why no Sonic? Why no Long John Silver's?
Are y'all saying that the city needs to become more like those soulless suburbs?
