Although ordinarily I consider puns to be the lowest form of humor, that is kinda brilliant.

I'm also reminded of DinoMite Days:

But that was basically a ripoff of CowParade:

CowParade - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Your Step Child program would be much more a genuine Pittsburgh thing.

There's already an annual event in the south hills (which claims 10% of the Pittsburgh-area steps), it happens in the autumn and they give you a little map of steps and a written guide. The people to talk to are the Southside Slopes Neighborhood Association.

i love this idea! haha....i did read that article and made note of their website. i cant wait to go out in August to help with the steps (there is a date scheduled later this month, but i cant make that one).

maybe i'll run into a city-data nerd!

I used to live at the top of the steps in the Southside where Hartford street meets them. Loved that walk down to the flats and even up again. Foot traffic was minimal at best but those many stairs kept me in shape.
