Courtesy of Chris Briem. I don't link all of these any more--there are too many, and they are too repetitive. But I thought this one was well done, and most importantly, it appeared in the Australian media (and not just a US paper or magazine):

Pittsburgh Power

I think it's significant that the proliferation of positive Pittsburgh articles makes it no longer newsworthy when a new one is released.

"Pittsburgh is a hidden gem!"

True. This particular outlet is "Britain’s only media outlet specialising in connecting with Australians living in the UK":

About us - Australian Times

So I guess I should have said it was in the Australian-Expat media.

How depressing it must be to move from Australia to the UK. They might actually find Pittsburgh weather refreshing.

I think it was Bill Bryson who mentioned how ludicrous the British were, they colonize a fairly temperate semitropical island and send all the criminals and orphans and problemmatic individuals there while all the upstanding upper class citizens stay in cold rainy London.

Unlike Australia, the native flora and fauna of England doesn't actively try to kill you.

Let's put things in perspective here, the only part that is the temperate paradise that you describe is a very thin strip along the east coast of the island. And for people who have evolved over thousands of years to live in a cooler climate, (I am one of them) they actually prefer to live in said cooler temperatures.
