I'm sorry... but while I'm excited for this Ace Hotel... I could not stand that Next American City article. $1.99 wasted.

Too much slobbering over Ace brand and the hipster aesthetic... the Pittsburgh portions of the article were meager and condescending.

I like reading about brands and what makes them tick (as a guy who works in advertising), so this hit the spot for me. Didn't find the Pittsburgh parts that condescending. There were moments of that, but I think in the end the narrative that won out for the city was the "you can do anything you want here, it's a blank canvas"... which I find to be dead on.
