Thanks to the owner of O'Bannon's, an amazing store in Lawrenceville, I discovered I have a passion for rugs from Afghanistan. There's two styles I like. I can't remember the name of one, but I was able to figure out the other is called Suzani. There's one hanging in her store that spoke to me. It just glowed. Sadly, it's way too small for my room. I can't justify buying it to hang on a wall when I haven't found area rugs for the floors yet. Her selection beautiful but limited.

So, where are the rug stores? I'm not into oriental or Persian. I like tribal or extremely unique artsy. I already looked at what's available at the fine furniture store next to Macy's furniture at Ross Park Mall. They only had a handful from Afghanistan. They guy there tells me they are very hard to get. I'm hoping that's not the case. Are there any stores in the metro area with a large selection?

Most all the Asian rug places will have a selection of tribal rugs, but not a lot. Is Walker in Mt. Lebo still around? They were pretty good, but that was a long time ago.
