I always had a strange feeling the Pens wouldn't win after they tore down the cool old place. Seems so far I was correct. Sometimes the place and history of a place has a feel. Seems the ugly Consol Center is a dud.

Wishing Boston the best against the west. The Pens look very tired. No energy at all. This series is over with a very great team on paper, but no Civic Arena. The jinx lives.

Then how did they win 3 against Ottawa at home and 2 against the Islanders at home?

CEC sux as a venue agreed, but hopefully they'll get at least 1 more shot at turning things around at home.

It's actually the Dan "Less With More" Bylsma jinx.

No such thing as a jinx/curse and CEC is a fine venue. The biggest problem is the coach. Bylmsa needs to go. He's too player-friendly and doesn't hold players accountable. His system is too easy for opponents to defeat and he fails to get the players to be responsible for the puck in their own end.

Since winning the Cup with Therrien's team, Bylsma has a 20-19 postseason record. Unacceptable. he needs to go if they get boat raced against the Bruins.

Maybe if they were like a typical Pirates or Detroit Lions team you could call it a jinx. Doesn't hold much water when they are in the conference championship and at worst will be finishing as one of the top 4 teams in the NHL.
