We can't really answer without knowing what part of the area you will be working and if you will need public transportation.

Try Googling Pittsburgh Vacation rentals. A friend of mine used to rent a small apartment in her house by the day or the week to people like yourself. Unfortunately she sold her home and moved out of the country last year or I would refer you to her.

i would offer you my spare room and an air mattress, but im not sure i'd be comfortable about that lol

that and i feel you'd be scared of my area (stanton heights/morningside/east liberty) even though i feel im in the relative safe area.
