Be careful out there this morning folks... The roads in the city look like they're plowed as usual (side roads left horrible), but there's still a coating of ice in areas. Also, give yourself some extra time to thaw out your vehicle. I know mine was cased in ice. Either way, I still love winter

Does anyone have any info on Route 28? I have an appointment downtown and will be leaving at 9.

My dog can't even walk in the yard because the snow is covered with ice.

I don't know about Route 28, but downtown is pretty messy this morning. Travel slowly, Hopes.

Blue Line in the South Hills is out of service due to lines down.

What a morning.

My favorite part was shoveling the walk in the rain.

I stomped paths through the yard for my dog. The poor thing.

The ice was hurting his paws and legs when it collapsed under his weight.

dog boots can help a lot.

On the positive side, at least your ticks all froze.

I didn't get in until 10 but it was okay. I don't have to drive very far on the downtown roads though. There were a couple of touchy spots out in Marshal Township side roads but I made it through.

Up at the house we got 6" of snow plus a coating of ice. It took me about an hour to shovel the driveway. Plus I stopped at one point when it was raining again, worried that if I shoveled too much too soon I'd end up with a sheet of ice. I think it'll be okay when we get home though.

Apparently the city snow total was more like 2" though, but perhaps with thicker ice? The line between things was very close by it seems.
