I do realize that. The Casabill places are, for the most part, between 2000-3000 square feet. New construction in the better burbs is pretty pricey. Some of the lots that we have looked at are 150,000 just for a lot. Makes building pretty expensive.

I heard that there have been a lot of problems with the houses. Have you heard about that?

The neighborhoods on this list bellow are all stretchs since their all nice neighborhoods. Although considering how much on the forum we talk about: Allegheny West/War Streets, Point Breeze, Squirrel Hill, Shadyside, Northern Highland Park, Ross, Mt. Lebo, Sewickley, Fox Chapel, Aspinwall, etc. they are under-appreciated.

Random order:
Nice East Hills
Point Beeze North
Schenley Farms
Stanton Heights
Swisshelm Park
New Hampshire Drive, Marshall Shadeland
Castle Shannon/Baldwin/Whitehall
the moderate parts of Monroeville & Churchill/Forest Hills/Wilkins Township
the nicest parts of Wilkinsburg/Penn Hills if you don't have kids
Kennedy Township/Moon Township
In addition to all the ones already mentioned

I'll agree with all of those eastern city neighborhoods. The nice part of East Hills is still a bit too close to sketchy projects.

My neighbors recently elected me committee man for our district and ward. Im on a mission to improve the greater East Hills neighborhood. Many of my neighbors when asked where they live feel the need to say "the nice part" when referring to our community.

There isnt any spill over from the bad areas. All of the illicit activities are contained and have been for decades. Topography and crime watch groups deter spill over. No murders, burglaries, or drug sales outside of that three street area. The "bad" parts have improved since the redevelopment. There are still issues but nothing like before.

that's good to hear. I know that a lot of the people who live in the stable part of East Hills are elderly. I just hope that young-ish homeowners buy those houses in the future rather than slumlords.

Wow pretty cool... Just wondering, is that ward 5th Ward? I got that guess from the old "5th Ward Boyz", the only clique of the Bloods that operates outside of the Phasse II-III/Maple Ridge/Park Hill-White Pine Drive Apartments which operates on Seagart/Singer Place/8200-8400 Bricelyn Streets/etc. So is your area or another area known as 5th Ward in East Hills?
