My fiance and I are getting married in Sept of this year (2014) and we still do not have a venue! We are trying to stay under $300 and are hoping to have the actual ceremony outside so we need something that has that option. Looking for a barn type building or cabin. If anyone has any ideas please HELP!

Richland has a great barn in a beautiful setting at the community park. The rental price is close to your budget.

Rent Barn or Pavilions at Richland Township, Allegheny County PA.

There is room outside to have the ceremony outdoors.

Under $300? I too am getting married in September, and we are doing it relatively inexpensively in the city.

I can assure you that under $300 all in = Allegheny courthouse, or somewhere on craigslist someone might be cool with you using their property.

Here is a link to the City of Pittsburgh shelters, and the fees charged.

They opened up applications yesterday, and its first come first served.

West End Park has a nice shelter, heated with bathroom facilities, I attended a bachelor party there years ago and it worked out fine.

North Park has a barn and a lodge that are within your budget.

Parks Department Grove & Facility Rental

The other county parks do too.

That's not true. Park barns are around $300 and some are under $300.

Here's a picture of the barn at Richland Township's community park.

There's a big fire pit with theater seating on one side outside.

Who amongst your friends/family has the nicest house?

Have the wedding there.

If your willing to go with an urban location, consider the Pittsburgh Dance Company in Bloomfield. It on top of the Starbucks on Liberty Ave. Its a former movie theater with beautiful architectual details. My sister had her wedding reception there during Bloomfields Italian Festival. The festiva. Added to the urban experience. Parking is available in the city garage a block away.
