Stumbled upon this blog posting by Jane Fonda on her new movie set in Pittsburgh with Russell Crowe. She likes it here. WORKING WITH RUSSELL CROWE | Jane Fonda

She calls us Pittsburgians. That's bad enough, but there's not even an H.

She is forgiven because of her beautiful description of the city.

Quote:
Everyone on the film seems to love Pittsburgh (and many of the crew are Pittsburgians). I can see why. It has so much personality. It’s a relatively small city with a whole lot of history surrounded by hills that are part of the Allegheny Mountain range. Stand on many of the streets in the city and you can see where the street ends with a river and on the other side of the river are hills covered with forests. Within 10 minutes from the center of the city I saw deer everywhere. And there are bridges everywhere—446 of them.

LOL I finally learned to say Pittsburgher but it took awhile. Pittsburghian sounds so classy. Pittsburgher makes you feel like you're saying all the people there are, well, beefy with big fat buns.

According to Fonda, Pittsburgh is becoming a bit of a Foodie paradise. I suspect she's a hard customer to impress. At least she didn't call them Pittsburginarians.

She's quite a good writer. And looks pretty good for someone born in the thirties.
