welp, the school I applied to down here said no, so I have few options and one is return to pitt. I figured id live down here and just bus it up and try to take classes once a week, so id stay in town for 1-2 days and then bus it back down. id be looking at airbnb, motels, hostels, etc to keep costs low.

being that my main job is being an uber/lyft driver, I can be flexible to this anyways and maybe if I do drive, I can make some $$ while there on weeks I decide to drive up andnot bus it.

go ahead and call me nuts, but I might be back

That's a lot of driving. Did a weekly commute Pittsburgh to Alexandria for better part of two years. Couldn't stand it after a few months. At least the gig paid well enough for me to rent a studio down there so I didn't have to figure out accommodations every week.

Best of luck to you.

Why don't you just come back to Pittsburgh? It would be cheaper than paying for two different places to live. The gasoline to drive here/back once a week is going to be a fortune. It doesn't make any sense whatsoever. I suggest you suck-it-up about whatever you don't like about Pittsburgh until you get your degree. It's short term suffering for your long term career goals. Once you graduate, you can relocate wherever you want.

oh I am not drivng to and from Pittsburgh. im looking at buses and Amtrak. within the city, ill use my pitt id to get around and/or lyft/uber.

and im thinking either way, its a win win for me. my costs would be the same if not less than getting my own place up in pgh. and I get to be with friends and family. I make enough money driving uber that itll null my expense doing this. right now, I live rent free with my sister. just pay ultilities, which is way way less than any rent in the city.

Where are you going to stay when you're in Pittsburgh? I'll bet that will cost as much as full rent, maybe more.

Commute by bike. What do you think they built the Great Allegheny Passage for?

I think the hardest part about this, would be finding courses that meet one day a week and same day of the week.

Is this to finish undergrad or do a grad degree? Why don't you look for an online program and transfer?
