Maybe I am doing it wrong. We pay 1,700 a year for our house. I looked on the county site in PA, is there another kind of tax?

Thats an expensive house. It must be the county that makes the difference. I was looking in Allegheny county. Maybe thats why, and the houses were under 100,000.

Did a recent search in the forum for someone looking for a house with land in or around Cranberry. I could only find a couple 2-3 acre lots between the $200,000-$300,000 range. With a house will be more.

The Cranberry area is the or one of the hottest areas in Pittsburgh. You have to pay to play.

I guess it depends what you do there.
Uncle never leaves town but hes more in the management.
Dad has been going out of town from china to russia to bulgaria to sweeden to wherever for his entire 4 decade stint there. even had a 5 year stretch in the czech republic.
my neighbor also travels alot but not out of the country. by a lot i mean, hes rarely home a month straight.

as far as acreage, a 5 mile radius search of single family homes from warrendale gives 44 properties with 2 or more acres, 25 with 3 or more acres, 12 with 5 or more acres.

I was looking at older homes. Current Tax Information
Net Tax Due March 31: $125.62
Gross Tax Due April 30: $128.18
Millage Rate: 4.73
Taxable Market Value: $27,100

This is what I found on the site. Am I reading this correct?

There's county real estate tax, township real estate tax, AND school district real estate tax.

You need to find out all three taxes for a property to determine the total real estate tax.
