What an interesting place! It's technically a city neighborhood but yet it's kind of country. I like it. There's this one house I discovered there. It's by it's self, for the most part, and the back yard has a pool with a view of the city! Wild. Anyone else been to or live in New Homestead?

I think that is the exact house I was interested in! Back away, son, back away! haha

I recently either resurrected a thread or started a new one on this very topic. I do not know if I've EVER met someone who said "oh yea, I live in New Homestead". Chances are, someone may have, but just THOUGHT they were in Hays, or even Homestead itself (oblivious to the details of their tax bill, I guess).

It is just so hard (relatively) to get in and out of there. But yea, so nice and quiet.

There are a few little pockets around the city that are like that. Bon Air and Swisshelm Park come to mind. In fact, is New Homestead the area where they are building new houses on a windy, sub-urban like new street?

Guessing you are talking about the Casa Bill Development. I thought those were in Lincoln Place.

New Homestead is the safest place you've suggested. Though this doesn't mean the best, I bet you'd have more fun living in Clairton, MO/Allentown, Munhall, etc.

Who is your comment directed at? I know it isn't directed at me, because, I never suggested any places to anyone, let alone would I suggest a place like Clairton. As far as MO/Allentown if you are talking about that one post I made about those two places I was saying how much potential the main thorough fairs have if they fixed them up a little bit more and made those two neighborhoods safer. I wasn't suggesting anyone to move to those two places, not in their current conditions anyway. As far as Munhall, someone had posted a post on here asking if Munhall was a nice place to live and I said the Homestead Park area of it is yes not lower Munhall which must be the part of Munhall that you are talking about when grouping it in with those other places you mentioned.

^Oh my bad I was confused to me you came off as an urban pioneer with these threads about Lower Munhall, C-Town & A-Town/M.O. So all I was saying was if you were an urban pioneer and wanted to pick from New Homestead & the towns listed neighborhoods listed above, then you shouldn't choose New Homestead. I wasnt accusing you of suggesting these places to anyone which isnt a crime.

Nope, in 5 yrs after my trailer is paid off I will be though. However, I won't be looking for a place to live around here. I plan on moving to a warmer climate, probably South Carolina. If I have more money by then though I might get a place to live here for the warmer months. I know you can rent an apt in the Waterfront for a few months.
