Hi! I've driven as slowly as I've dared down Carson Street, but I can't see where I should pull over to drop someone off at the T station (so they can catch the train.) On the downside of the street, there is a big parking lot, but I think I'd have to pay to get in. Is there a place to pull over on the other (incline) side?

Thanks!

I don't think you're going to be able to stop on Carson. You'll probably have to pull into Station Square off of Smithfield and your passenger will have to cross the street to get to the station.

most people just stop and let there passenger out. pat doesn't seem to put much thought into traffic around there stops, they just built that fancy stop next to ikea, but they did not build a bus lane for the bus to pull out of traffic. also there is not a place to pull over for wood street or steel plaza.

I believe Ikea funded the bus shelter, and the roadway is owned by the developers who built the road and Robinson Town Center. PAT itself cannot build roads or an extra lane onto someone else's road.

Does anyone know if you have to pay to pull into the big parking lot on the corner of Smithfield and Carson? (and thank you, everyone, for helping me figure this out).

You do not...initially. You can drive into the complex, even under the Smithfield Street bridge without having to pay. There is a driveway turnaround for the Shops and you can get to the Sheraton without paying as well.

Just pull over and put your 4 ways on. That's what everyone else does.

Perhaps stopping isn't technically allowed, but I doubt you'd be ticketed even if you did it in front of the police.
