I saw some graffiti last night that simply amazed me. For two reasons. One, it was actually very nicely done and seemed more like art to me than street graffiti. And two, the person that did it had to have strapped them self into a harness, repelled off the bridge, and dangled 100 feet in the air to place it where it was at. Simply amazing

So we should give rapists and molesters MORE time not Mr. Montano less. He was arrested previously for the same violation of the law and was shown leniency. It, apparently, had no impact because he was back in front of a judge again. This young man seems to believe that he is right and the rest of the world wrong. Your rights are only your rights until they infringe on the rest of us. The bottom line is graffitti is not the same as public art. I have seen some fantastic murals. The difference is these people are hired to paint the mural and it is wanted in the community. Graffitti is unwanted vandalism. Mr. Montano and others like him need to know that we will no longer tolerate this kind of behavior. Is the sentence excessive? That was up to the judge and was within the guidelines. Hopefully, he will use his talent for something far better than defacing property.

Daniel Montano stood in front of a judge and begged for mercy. Then, his father stood up and did the same. The judge went out on a limb and gave him a light sentence, figuring that everyone deserves a second chance. Then, Daniel Montano thumbed his nose at the light sentence he received, reoffended, got arrested again, which violated his probation.

True, it is comparing apples to oranges, but look at their sentences compared to the crimes they committed, it's sickening!!!

That rape case wasn't in Pittsburgh, or Pennsylvania, so the comparison is largely meaningless.
