Will Mayor Peduto seek to settle the new refugees in the areas that support him most strongly?

If they will be a positive to the city, you'd think he'd want to.

Here's Fortune's 1938 Survey on U.S. Views of Jewish Refugees - Fortune

Also, enlighten me. Did you just look on snopes for the chart and not read any words in the article?

Luckily foreigners don't have to try & put into a box which political party did this or that with whatever nuances each party uses & can just say America f'd up there
Maybe you missed it when Bush marked Assad for regime change? Were you in-country then, or trying to figure out, um... "whatever nuances each party uses"?

Even if America had never disposed of Saddam Hussein, Hussein would have eventually had to deal with the same issues that Gaddafi, Hosni Mubarak, and Bashar al-Asaad ultimately had to deal with. The Arab spring would have happened regardless, and was a direct result of social media, Tunisia, popular internal uprisings, and yes, the egging on of outsiders like Hillary Clinton. Like al-Asaad, Hussein would have turned around and brutally used chemical weapons on his own people and the country would have descended into civil war. ISIS would have emerged from the chaos and remnants of al-Qaeda, regardless. Discussing who voted for the Iraq war seems kind of pointless right now because we in all likelihood would have wound up at the same point. The only question we need to ask right now is how we are going to deal with the scourge of radical Islamic fundamentalism and ideology of jihad that has popped up in the past 30 years.

OK, Bush apologist. Ifs and buts, eh...

I don't live in a world of speculative fiction. I understand why you want to skip over the assignment of blame... you guys have never been that big on root causes.

I would hope that is not the case, because my district went for Wagnar, but I would like to see my community accept some.

Of course not.

That would be too close to his family, which he cares very much about according to his little speech yesterday.

Other Pittsburghers families, not so much.

Last I checked the one "Syrian" is thought to have been using the passport of a dead Syrian soldier. His real national identity is unknown. The 2 other Syrian passports found are thought to be forgeries.
ISIS is multinational. Are you claiming there are no Syrians in ISIS?

Man, you are a clairvoyant! You should go on the road with this stuff! There's an old saying, Mussolini made the trains run on time.
