An interesting article, I don't remember seeing it posted before.

The Next Hot 'Hoods in Pittsburgh - Pittsburgh Magazine - March 2016 - Pittsburgh, PA

Pittsburgh Magazine's predictions for hot neighborhoods in 2026: Hazelwood, Larimer, Polish Hill, Uptown.

It also mentions Allegheny Center, Wilkinsburg, and Millvale as up and coming. The article ends with profiles of some local developers.

Thought it may interest some here, so wanted to share.

I personally have issues with envisioning Uptown and Wilkinsburg as up and coming or hot..

The hot new neighborhoods are pretty lazy picks...maybe not to the general population though. These are areas that have already benefited or are planned to benefit from billions of dollars of development.

I saw this this morning. I take these articles with a grain of salt but it is nice to see maligned (in the media etc) neighborhoods get some attention.

Nova Place (former Allegheny Center) is going to be interesting. The Faros Group has already done a great job with the surrounding apartments. The co-working space is taking off and they're on their way to creating an interesting market inside. It should become a nice attraction for CBD residents along with being a magnet for the North Side.

"Hazelwood, Larimer, Polish Hill, Uptown."

Yeah. Clearly this is a case of "one of these doesn't belong".

Keep in mind this is the same magazine that oftentimes calls city neighborhoods suburbs, and constantly tells young college grads who recently they should be looking for a house in Highland Park.

You have got to be kidding? Millvale was exciting a short time ago? I am startting to think you are just getting a rise out of making statements like this and watching the reactions.
