Hi All,

I live in Cranberry and have a job opportunity that is located near the Pittsburgh Zoo. My only concern is about the commute. I see that I have a few options: I could take the Turnpike to Allegheny Valley or I could commute on 79 and 279.

How bad is traffic down that way coming from Cranberry?

Thanks for any info you can provide!

I hate the Route 28/Highland Park Bridge rush-hour bottleneck with a passion, so I might consider a way to get over the 62nd Street Bridge instead. There's paving work on East Ohio Street in the North Side right now that is making the trek from I-279 South to Route 28 North a headache, so hopefully someone can provide a better way around that. If not I'd consider taking the Turnpike just ONE exit east of Cranberry and taking Route 8/William Flynn Highway down from Allison Park to the 62nd Street Bridge. That commute would be about 35 minutes each way.
