So this November I have a conference at the Convention Center and the conference people recommended a SuperShuttle service. Is this the way you would want to get from the airport to the Convention Center? I'm thinking it's a 30 - 40 minute trip---correct me if I'm wrong. (I'm arriving Friday morning and leaving Sunday afternoon). Better than a cab? I'm in no particular rush when I arrive as I allowed plenty of time coming and going.

Thanks in advance.

The 28x (Port Authority Bus) does the trip about as fast at certain times of the day for $3.75. It's not even much slower because it has its own tunnel. (On the other hand, it wastes a bunch of time circling a shopping area.)

The 28X isn't bad, I've taken it before. The advantage is that it gets on the West Busway and avoids the most congested portion of the parkway into the city. You can catch it on the lower level of the landside terminal on the ground transportation side.

I guess one challenge with the bus is you might have to walk a few blocks (about a 1/4 mile) to the hotel from the bus stop downtown. If that's not a concern, the savings of the 28X is the way to go. They do have cab service (including Uber and Lyft) at the airport as well, but it's going to run a bit more ($25-$40).

This is really helpful. Thanks to you all for replying. I think I can handle a few blocks walk with a bag. Hopefully my traveling companion will feel the same way.

From what I recall, you go down to the ground transportation area of the Landside of the airport. There you can find SuperShuttle or if you want find the PAT ticket machine to get your bus ticket. In the back of the Landside terminal is where you can catch the 28x. When the bus crosses the bridge into the "Golden Triangle", the first stop is where you should get off. The walk to the Westin is a few blocks, but no big deal.

I always saw the 28X as the larger "slinky" buses, at least when I was making my deliveries in/around the Forbes/Craig area.
