I am working on a sci-fi book about a zombie apocalypse.

Much of it is centered around the Northern PA regions but the part of the book I am currently working on is in and around Pittsburgh.

I was wondering is any Pitt student or anyone extremely familiar with the campus and its layout within the city that could provide me with detailed info. It has a small role in my book but an important one.

Do you have specific questions, or are you looking to write about a particular scenario?

Thanks to George Romero, Pittsburgh is the zombie capital of the world.

I am looking for as much detail about the dorm areas andnlocation of the administration office as i can in regards to the University. As far as the city and surrounding areas, my plan in the book is to make the scenery look almost 'barren wasteland like' few survivors and resources, lots of damage, etc. Looking for areas that might it ideally into that.

The single greatest, and most symbolic, bit of zombie apocalypse you could loose upon Pitt would be to bring down the Cathedral of Learning.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cathedral_of_Learning

When I went to Pitt, the dorms were the Towers and the adjacent Schenley Quadrangle, which is across Bigelow Boulevard from the Cathedral of Learning. However, there are lots of newer dorms now. Someone else will need to tell you about those, as well as the population breakdown in all the dorms nowadays.

Yes, it can. However...people who actually live in a place (particularly Pittsburgh) can have different views of just about everything, even different from people who live just across the rivers.

Thats why i asked here. The way information is portrayed from a person is much more genuine typically than from a 'wiki site'

Since you're in Williamsport, not that far away, why don't you go to Pittsburgh and take a look for yourself?
