This is meant to be just for information. Election is over and time to move on, but thought some might be interested in voting in our county. My town voted for Hillary and Toomey.

Thanks for posting this.

Does anybody know where to find a map that breaks down Pittsburgh's wards into their districts?

Do you have an embiggener? I think this might be what you're looking for.

No, those smaller lines are census tracts. The ward boundaries might be a bit inaccurate as well.

IIRC, the Post-Gazette eventually puts together an interactive feature mapping the election by ward.

Out of curiosity I just crunched the voting numbers for Polish Hill, which is City Ward 6, Districts 4-5. I've added both districts together since the neighborhood is so small and since both districts voted at the same polling place. I only did the analysis for the U.S. Presidential and U.S. Senate races, which were the most crucial.

Here's the breakdown:

Total Population (2010): 1,274
Total Registered Voters: 1,058
Total Ballots Cast: 733
Voter Turnout: 69.28%

*PRESIDENT (730 Votes)
Ballots Cast for Hillary Clinton: 547 (74.93%)
Ballots Cast for Donald J. Trump: 141 (19.32%)
Ballots Cast for Dr. Jill Stein: 17 (2.33%)
Ballots Cast for Gary Johnson: 12 (1.64%)
Ballots Cast for Write-In: 9 (1.23%)
Ballots Cast for Darrell Castle: 4 (0.55%)
*3 of the Overall Ballots Cast Did Not Select a Presidential Candidate

*U.S. SENATE (718 Votes)
Ballots Cast for Katie McGinty: 561 (78.13%)
Ballots Cast for Pat Toomey: 122 (17.00%)
Ballots Case for Edward T. Clifford, III: 35 (4.87%)
*15 of the Overall Ballots Cast Did Not Select a U.S. Senate Candidate.

I wonder why 3 people would show up to vote and NOT select a presidential candidate?!

Many people felt like they couldn't conscientiously vote for any of the presidential candidates, but they believed that the state and local races were more important.

That's most likely the case. I'm pleased Katie McGinty had such a strong showing in our neighborhood. We met her at the Bicentennial Parade along Liberty Avenue earlier this year, and she fist-bumped us!

Our region voted mostly Hillary. I think everything will be fine either way. As Obama said in his speech today, everyone wants a great USA, it just a different view, but still people want us to do well.

Interesting to look at the numbers though. I am proud of FC.

Only Allegheny County did, her percentage of the vote in the county though was basically the same as what Obama got in 2012 which surprised me a little. I thought his way would have appealed to a lot of the river towns but it looks like it didn't, or more middle/upper class suburbanites were appalled by him to offset it.
