Haysville is a small borough on the Ohio River west of Pittsburgh. Okay, not just small, really small. In 2010 it had only 70 people in its 0.17 square mile land area, a number which has likely fallen since then. It is by far the smallest borough in Allegheny County by population (I believe the next smallest is in the range of 250 people).

Haysville is so small it only has a couple of streets. South Avenue is tucked between the Ohio River and the railroad tracks. It has a small industrial zone and around 15 wood-framed houses, mostly from the 19th century. Several of these houses have private piers. Most of the other houses are along River Road, which climbs the hillside above Route 65. There are a scattered few houses on large lots elsewhere in the borough, some not actually accessible from the road network within the municipality.

As small as the borough is, it has a small "business district" of sorts along 65. Mostly unoccupied, it contains a doggy daycare and the Sewickly Speakeasy, a seafood and steak place.

That's about it.

Did not know that was Haysville. I drive by it and always worry that those houses are so close to the railroad tracks and what would happen in the event of a derailment. It's a pretty busy rail corridor.

Not much curb appeal in that area.
