Surprise surprise.

"A man in his 20s was shot Friday night near the Wood Street T station in Downtown.

Pittsburgh police responded about 10:30 p.m. to Wood Street between Sixth and Liberty avenues."

Shame. Pittsburgh needs a mayor that supports police.

I used to use the T and catch the bus there. It certainly is crowded and a central place where many people cross paths. SO I suppose this has something to do with it. Perhaps that warrants posting police there during busy times. On accasion I have seen groups of PAT police there.

Correct me if wrong, but it isn't the actual T station that is the problem area, or is it? I mean, not inside in the actual subway system. I thought there were also bus stops on the streets outside where the trouble usually occurs. Is it just coincidence that it happens to be beside the entrance to a T station?

Pretty shady in the station itself. Not a fan, but sometimes I am there. I wouldn’t allow my wife to be in that hole.

Interesting. I really haven't used that station much at all. I usually get on or off either in the north side or gateway center, or sometimes steel plaza or first avenue, and have seen no problems at those stations.

Anyway, I've been going Downtown regularly since the mid 2000's regularly and I honestly can't remember a time that bus stop/T station didn't have a lot of lowlifes hanging out at it. I really don't get what it is about that particular place.
Do you agree or disagree? I’m waiting on an answer.

You likely won’t get one because many don’t want to admit there’s a problem with that area.

I see that. They tried to dodge the question thinking I was somebody else. Some of the responses to these threads are silly. Downtown Pittsburgh has a lot of crime a for a small city and tiny land area. It’s becoming a zoo down there and the walking dead hang out at wood street station and Smithfield street at night.
