Agreed, a lot of people have died because their politics were more important to them than keeping themselves and others safe.

Imagine being willing to contract and spread a horrible disease because of your politics.

A lot of Republicans also wear masks, but people that don't in my experience are exclusively republican or libertarian.

You don't have to worry about the borders staying closed, no other country is going to want dirty, disease-spreading Americans to visit after this.
If only “in your experience” mattered for anything close to factual, and assuming only Republicans don’t wear masks is quite the reach.

I hope you’re right. We don’t need anymore of this kind of nonsense.

Anecdotal evidence, but there you have it.

The "reduces oxygen by 20% at least" bit is good for a laugh. If that were true surgeons would be passing out in ORs all the time.

ah, no. its obviously not enough to make you pass out, unless you are in heavy physical activity. but its not good for you, andsurgeons take them off as soon as they leave the room. they prevent bacterial spread. not viruses. viruses are much much smaller than bacteria. 0.1 microns. read a book.

Viruses hitchhike in exhaled vapor droplets, which are much larger than 0.1 microns. Read a book.

Go get a pulse oximeter, put it on your finger, and put a mask on. They have absolutely ZERO affect on your oxygen intake and you're repeating fake propaganda to justify doing what you wanted to do anyway, ie, express your oppositional defiance disorder.

BTW, dummy, Sweden doesn't do masks and they are doing better than the US

Let's see the CDC study you're claiming says that masks don't stop virus spread.

You're the one bringing it up, it's incumbent on you to show it to us.

Without evidence I'm just going to assume it has as much basis in reality as your "20% less oxygen" bit, ie, none at all.

Conservatism at it's core is really all about finding a justification for whatever cruel or selfish thing you want to do, after all. Including spreading disease indiscriminately.

https://www.cdc.gov/media/releases/2...ear-masks.html

"In an editorial published today in the Journal of the American Medical Association (JAMA), CDC reviewed the latest science and affirms that cloth face coverings are a critical tool in the fight against COVID-19 that could reduce the spread of the disease, particularly when used universally within communities."
