It does. And I have supported this company in the past. Southers seems like a good guy. His quotes though about how Black v. White audiences interpret August Wilson's plays was clumsy and odd. So because I'm Caucasian I interpret it a certain way? How does he know? Anyway I was disappointed at this article. https://triblive.com/aande/theater-a...hildhood-home/

that is so great....even moreso because like the Mattress Factory, it is re-use/re-purposing of existing structures, without detriment to everything around it.

at least Wilson passed on KNOWING that his nephew has purchased the structure and that it would come to fruition as a performance space, even if he did not survive to see it.

this is yet another 'thing' for Pittsburgh overall, too. It may attract attention, dollars, activity, and so additional prestige to the city.

The renovation turned out better than I could have imagined. The house and outdoor theater is cool and the city rising in the distance is amazing. My brother has a permanent exhibit in the AWC for Black Culture and they mad a mini version for new art center.

My favorite is Ma Rainey's Black Bottom at the old Pittsburgh Public Theater. Might have to check this one out.

Thanks for the recommendation. Looks popular, but it won't be as cool as seeing it at the Pittsburgh Public Theater.
