Pennsylvania officials cannot count votes from mail-in or absentee ballots that lack accurate, handwritten dates on their return envelopes, the state Supreme Court ruled unanimously Tuesday, a week before tabulation will begin in races for governor, the U.S. Senate and the state Legislature.

Gasp. How dare folks have to fill out things properly, and it certainly goes for both parties. Though interesting the condition folks may be in if they can’t even do that…and one can certainly vote in person. It’s great to have choices.

you do realize (prolly not) that the PASC is 4:2 Dem over GOP with 1 vacancy. They ruled unanimously.

[quote=RetireinPA;64386301]you do realize (prolly not) that the PASC is 4:2 Dem over GOP with 1 vacancy. They ruled unanimously.

This ruling (a 3-3 deadlock actually) was the result of a lawsuit brought by Republicans, in an attempt to suppress democratic votes (dems are statistically, significantly more likely to vote by mail), and it succeeded. Republicans succeeded in their continued efforts to suppress votes in order to give themselves an advantage. A single dem (Justice Kevin Dougherty sided with the 2 republican justices to make it a 3-3 split decision).

So it was 4-2. Votes matter. It’s great to have choices, except when they don’t go one’s way

If you don’t see this as a minor technicality being manipulated to punish democratic voters, you’re either stupid or disingenuous.

Are democrats not capable of following directions or are they not capable of dating an envelope? I am curious to find out.
