Any ideas on a intimate restaurant in the Theater District or nearby (walking distance)? Nine on Nine is a great restaurant but a bit to open for an intimate night out.

Default Theater/Cultural District Restaurants

I nearly always eat at Lemongrass or the Greek place next door, on sixth.
The Greek place is NOT intimate but the food is good and it's byob. Lemongrass is good, vietnamese, byob, and you can watch the street crowds walk by.

Good, but not really intimate.

I have always thought of Nine on Nine as being intimate by the standard of other resturaunts in the Cultural District so I’m hard pressed to think of anything smaller. Perhaps Palette, or perhaps Café Zao?

Bossa Nova, Olive or Twist, Cafe Zae, and Cafe Amante are good options.

Come on Guylocke "Bossa Nova" I expected more from you. Even sitting against the far wall (large tables) it's hard to hear yourself think...It's one of my favorite places but open and noisy... Thank you for the reply.

I'm looking for a quiet place for 2 before the show.

Thanks Mr Mon, maybe I'll stick with 9 on 9.

Oh, my bad, when I saw intimate I thought "classy" over quiet.

I guess intimate would be quiet. hahaha.

Cafe Zao, one of the far back tables at Sonoma Grill, or Morton's would be my picks. Although I think nine on nine is the best foodwise of all of those.
