Hi,

Are there medical clinics in Pittsburgh which accept walk-in patients and accept cash as a payment similar like Patient First (Patient First - Primary and Urgent Health Care) in Richmond, VA ?

I need to bring my mother to see the doctor, but she doesn't have a medical insurance.

Please suggest.

Thanks,

Hendy

Yes, Pennsylvania has a Primary Health and Urgent Care system, same as Virginia. My girlfriend has had to use it on a couple of occasions, as she has no health insurance, and she has had no complaints. They work on a sliding pay scale.

There are places like MedExpress (MedExpress Urgent Care :: Urgent Care open 7 days a week :: Just Walk In!) and many chain pharmacies like CVS and Rite Aid now have walk in clinics.

Do a google search of "Pennsylvania urgent care" There's really no one single contact number, as some are independent companies, while others are affiliated with hospitals. They're located throughout all of Pennsylvania, just do a search and find the closest one to where your mother lives. They will charge diferent amounts since most charge on a sliding pay scale.

Here's a couple links to get your started

Urgent Care Center Search - Medical Urgent Care Clinic Facilities | Urgent Care Network

Urgent Care Physicians in Pennsylvania (PA Urgent Care)

Fleetiebelle also provided a link for you to follow

And yes, they accept all forms of payment, cash, check, credit card, debit card, etc, etc.
