I'm new to Pittsburgh, and although I've been to a couple of Primanti's locations, I've never been to the original one and heard it was a little different from the other restaurant-type Primanti's...so I was hoping someone could give me a break-down of what to do upon entering the one in the Strip...Do I go to the counter, order, find a table, then someone brings my sandwich to me?..or find a table first?, etc...

Get yourself a table and quick before someone else spots it! The waitresses will take your order for you, just like any other restaurant. The seating section to the left of the door is your best bet. I've eaten there and other Primanti's and I think the Strip location is the best. Have fun! It's one of the great Pittsburgh experiences.

If you want to eat there, make an immediate left as soon as you enter the main doors. Have a seat and someone will be with you shortly to take your order. HOWEVER, THAT section is only open during certain hours of the day. I think they open it moreso during the late afternoon/early evening hours. If you go there during the early daylight hours, you'll have to order at the grill, and then take your food to a table, located on the grill side, to eat it or sit at the counter to eat it or you can just order it to go, if you don't want to eat there.

The last time i ate there was about two years ago and i was kind of drunk at the time... but it was like 1am, i ordered at the counter, and someone brought us the sandwiches.

I think it varies depending on the time of day and how busy they are. I'm sure you can figure it out!
