That doesn't necessarily mean the IT job market is better. Some types of businesses are hit harder than others.

If you check Craig's lsit, there are more IT type job postings for Pittsburgh than Denver. Maybe the IT industry posts elsewhere in Denver. Don't know.

If you want to dress down then get a job in Seattle. We just moved back from there and most of the companies out there have no dress code. Hubby wore jeans/ t-shirts/tennis shoes/ shorts...whatever he wanted. It is VERY laid back out there!

are those stats 100%......always wondered about that...cause from what i was told they only go by the people who are on unemployment and not the people who are not but still considered job seekers but not colllecting.
