If I was given the choice, I would choose to get blood from a wealthy middle-aged east-asian woman. That seems like about the safest blood you can get in terms of being disease free.
I don't know about that ; they could always get a variety of diseases from their husbands, especially considering East Asian standards of male behavior in which promiscuity is expected for any man who can afford it and there is no stigma attached to using prostitutes.
But I don't think any group should be banned from giving blood. (BTW, the Red Cross' prohibition on people who have spent any time in Iraq from giving blood discriminates against a large number of servicemen and servicewomen....)

Good, the Red cross can discriminate if they feel like it, they are a private institution. Get over it.
