China may be the smartest cookie in the jar.
They are not really helping Greece as much as they are securing their place in global trade and means of production.

The sleeping dragon IS awake.

China Investing in Greece and Getting a European Trade Hub and Taishan in China plans nuclear-powered growth
The Chinese shipping giant Cosco assumed full control of the major container dock in Piraeus (35 year lease), just southwest of Athens. In return, the Chinese have pledged to spend $700 million to construct a new pier and upgrade existing docks.

The Greek government, for its part, is taking on the powerful unions in a bid to ensure that the Chinese can introduce dramatic changes to increase efficiency and productivity.

Needy Greece invites China's bold investment | The Journal Gazette | Fort Wayne, IN
Spurred on by government incentives and bargain-basement prices, the Chinese are planning to pump hundreds of millions – perhaps billions – of euros into Greece even as other investors run the other way.

The Chinese have plunked down billions from Angola to Peru to ensure the delivery of natural resources to feed China’s red-hot economy as well as to guarantee unfettered and cost-effective shipment of its exports abroad.

I believe that superpowers have many in common & should cooperate.

China is a model of justice, most 1st degree murderers get the needle there...

As for their expansion,money talks...

They pose no threat to us. Plus, the days of cheap labour & high growth are numbered...

China will eventually tank, the way...we tanked...

I suppose they need to lubricate the wheels of progress. Buying Greece is a good idea.

China is today where the US was after WWII.
I'm not anti-Chinese. If you see I called China "one smart cookie".
China cooperates only when it is in China's best interest. Notice that China is not involved in any monetary bailouts ? That IS smart IMO.
China is indirectly bailing them out but in return China gets ownership of important commodities and means of transportation.

harry is weird in the head. Calls everyone who doesn't agree an anti-semite and a China hater.

It is only normal for any country to cooperate only in its best interest...

There is worldwide a backlash now against Chinese products.

The consumers were lured & bought them, used them, saw that they...disintegrate prematurely & are of low quality & now their sales have tanked...

I bought Chinese shoes for E 25,out of curiosity..They...split open after 3 months...Now,I would spend E 50 for "Italian made "... & E 100 for ...real shoes...
