Of coarse his "target audience" would be his supporters.

There's another thread on this and it's not professorial at all..more like middle school level.

Of course, Obama's target audience was his mindless followers. These more than likely do not have a middle school education and are obviously easily duped.

That is amazing that the speech was 9th grade level and his conclusion was it was too professional.I listened to the whole speech and considered it simplistic,he said nothing new or unexpected.

Truegritt..I don't see the other thread offhand based on thread titles.
Maybe it's buried in another thread about his speech.

I wouldn't worry too much..something like this will quickly end up on page 2 and forgotten. Few will admit that the dumbing down of America is right on target.

Well if that is true it speaks volumes for the dumbing down of America

Honestly so did I. Obama didn't use too many "big" words yet it's coming across that people didn't understand it and it went over their heads.

What's next..Obama giving the next speech via a "Sesame Street" type of setup ?

I just don't get it. Who comes up with this crap? The guy is an orator by nature. He has the gift of gab. How can you NOT hear his words and not understand them? It's one thing to not recognize the political undertones in his words. That takes a little more intelligence and practice. But its another thing to suggest that the people don't grasp the words themselves. This is all hogwash in my view.

It's a failure at yet another attempt at making excuses for Obama.
