but really, should they mind? After all, it's all about obama, isn't it? He will never be able to convince Americans that his stimulus has been a success, not when the numbers are contrary to his ridiculous claims, not when millions are out of work, not when thousands are signing on to UE rolls every week, not when the UE is far beyond anything he claimed it would be, not when the numbers being churned out about recovery jobs are bogus and discredited.

Obama Jokes About Biden's "Big F-ing Deal" Comment - Political Hotsheet - CBS News

Quote:
Mr. Obama spoke for just ten minutes and was on the ground in Ohio for just over an hour.

The trip Columbus probably cost taxpayers between $500,000 and $1 million.

Air Force One alone bills out at $100,000 per hour, and the round trip is nearly two hours. Adding to the cost are military aircraft to carry limos and secret service vehicles, Marine One on standby, Secret Service, local police and other factors.
FOXNews.com - Obama's Stimulus Visit Results in Lost Payday for Construction Workers

Quote:
President Obama went to the groundbreaking of a road project in Columbus, Ohio, Friday to show that his massive stimulus package is still churning out jobs -- a "good news" story that was anything but for some construction workers who were trying to figure out how to make up for the payday they lost due to the president's visit.

The workers were told not to report to their construction project at a nearby hospital Friday, because the Secret Service was shutting it down for security reasons. They also were told that they would not get paid for the forced day off.

Its just ridiculous how this president waste our money. Then he's going to tell us how he cares about the environment.

This really is getting depressing how out of touch those in dc are.

I might as well burn my money it would serve a better purpose.

Rocket Sci,

Did you even look at that chart? It shows we are losing jobs after the "stimulus" passed.

Good job.

I had something like that happen to me once. But we didn't lose a day of pay. Instead, the day was treated like a regular day off and the following regular day off we came in to work like it was a regular work day. No loss in pay. It was an inconvenience but nothing more.

I see you fell for that bit of propaganda from the White House too;

Debunking the Obama Stimulus Chart Or “How To Make Numbers Say Anything You Want”

Raw Data;

Made to look like this:

How did he do it?

Quote:
Nope, it’s called the first derivative. Instead of worrying about how high the line is, we’re only going to worry about how steep the line is. That way, the number will look good even if we keep losing jobs. Instead of charting how many jobs there are, we’re charting how many jobs we’re still losing.
Neat trick, huh?

I like this graph even more;

It must feel awful to realize how many times one can be duped by the same person.

Kind of funny that someone with the handle "RocketSci" doesn't understand the elementary concept of dy/dx.
