All they are interested in at the moment is their voters getting amnesty in time to assure we neer get another vote . Never let a good desaster go un-used .

Americans will do just like all the other nations destroyed by dictators like him and bush, sit back until they are out numbered by their enmies . All we had to do was use ballots, even though we sent our sons and daughters to war where they use bullets when allowed to even defend themselves from bush and the dems rules of engagement .

We are about to get the nation we deserve !

Something we all need to think about.
For 71 days?

Not even Congress can focus on an initiative for that long.

It is our fault, who else are we drilling for oil for, the Keebler elves or the bragging rights to say we can drill really deep holes in really difficult places in order to achieve a drilling merit badge?

hahahaha... How exactly are you going to do that? Are you going to make your own lubricants and plastics that don't use petroleum? Are you going to ride your bike to the grocery store? How do you plan on cutting back?

You act like the oil that they were drilling for was for the US only. It wasn't.

HAHAHA what you think you can fly without feathers?

Good or bad, human civilization is built on petroleum, and petroleum that has a finite amount of quantity, so at some point in the future man will have to devise a means to make things he needs in a new way.

I'm sure the people who once lived on Easter island said something similar..."What, and just how do you plan on moving those statues without trees you silly person". The one day they were gone, as was the ecosystem that sustained the islands human population.

The large skimmer docked in Louisiana on Wednesday and is there to take the place of the smaller skimmers who can't withstand the hurricane winds. The large skimmer is said can withstand them. I would imagine the reason it wasn't brought in early were two fold: 1) the smaller fleet of skimmers could get around better, and 2) it takes a long time to get a large ship like that stocked up, manned and ready to go to sea for an extended period of time. The same thing happened with the hospital ships after Haiti's hurricane---they took a long time to get stocked and self-contained before they could go.

No one gains from purposely allowing the oil spill worsen, as you are suggesting. No one! It's pointless and silly to waste time, energy and anger on thinking otherwise.
