LONDON - The physician who last year had calculated that Abdel Basset al- Megrahi , who was stuck for the Lockerbie bombing in 1988 , within three months to die , has returned to his expectation . The Libyan has perhaps another ten years to live , said oncologist (cancer specialist ) Karol Sikora in the Sunday Times newspaper .




The Scottish Government decided in August last year to cancer Megrahi on medical grounds is free. This decision, against the wishes of the United States among others , was partly based on Sikora 's expectation that the Libyans had not long to live . That Megrahi one years later, still alive is " shameful , "says Sikora itself.

According to the Sunday Times was looking for a scientist who deliberately Libya that Megrahi would be only three months to live. Two experts who gave him a longer life expectancy , would be ignored . "It was clear she was aiming for three months , that was the essence. I found that I could justify more or less , "said Sikora in the Sunday newspaper. According to the oncologist , the probability that Megrahi should die within three months 50 percent , "but there was also 50 percent chance he would live longer . "

Nor should the government that sponsored him be allowed to remain in power, unlike Iraq, they were actually guilty of direct action against the US.
