Rev. Jesse Jackson: Cleveland Cavaliers owner Dan Gilbert put LeBron James in danger - ESPN

"His feelings of betrayal personify a slave master mentality. He sees LeBron as a runaway slave. This is an owner employee relationship -- between business partners -- and LeBron honored his contract."

LOL!

LeBronedict is a traitor. Jackson doesn't know what he's talking about...I don't even think he follows sports much.

LeBron did what was best for him. Jackson's an idiot. Gilbert was stupid to make the letter public. What a crybaby.

Go Heat!

Jackso needs to stayout of Legbron.s life. That coach has problems as does the others that don't thnik sports is a business.Lebron needs to win cahmpionship to ensure his futre and f course to justify his life in sports. Cleeveland had sevan years of h8s contract. If it wasn't for rules he would ahve been gone long before.

This doesn't happen much but this time, I tend to agree with Jesse Jackson. In what other business would a highly successful corporation say such things about a former employee especially one that did live up to his contract. There was no guarantee that he would stay and he didn't do what many high profile athletes do and demand a trade. He already re-upped with Cleveland once and it became obvious that other high profiles players didn't want to play in Cleveland. LeBron is smart enough to know that he couldn't win by himself and his goal is to win championships. Prior to "The Decision", I was hoping that LeBron would stay. But after seeing Gilbert's classless response, I'm glad that he left.

What an idiot. How is this racially motivated at all?

Dan Gilbert is a hero for comforting our city & saying what was on everybody's mind after losing the one person who became a cultural icon for our oftentimes maligned area. I'm glad that the tacky "We are All Witness" mural is GONE as of today! Hopefully it will be replaced with somebody who actually loves Cleveland, and doesn't want to drain his or her economically bleeding home region of millions of dollars because of their selfish and childish desire to obtain a trophy or two.

Lebron can go to hell for what he's done to our area.

Anyone who says something like this is missing the point completely. He was so much more than an athlete to us- he brought hope and money back to a struggling, depressed area. He made so many people proud because for once we were more than the "Mistake by the Lake" or the most miserable place in America that everybody wants to leave and move to Florida ASAP. He's been a star for a while, many people can remember going to see his games when he was making a big commotion in Akron as a teen, and people have watched him grow and bring a sense of community to our area.

He stabbed us in the face. He's an ass.

Embarrassing how we have let professional sports affect us and our thinking. It's all about the money.

Cleveland is a rust-belt city, always have and always will. No dumb basketball player will change that. The economy tanked when the American automakers shut down the plants.

Jackson and Sharpton demean what racism really is by the constant "cry racism" bs they spew daily.

Isnt Jackson the same one who said some pretty bad things about Obama, something to the affect of cutting Obamas nuts off. And hes the same man who advocated the use the N word but uses it himself.

Why is it this man and his pal Sharpton are always running out whenever something, anything, happens between a black person and a white person (unless of course the white person is the victim)? Why dont they come out on all the black on black crimes? More importantly, whey the hell do these two men have so much power and influence and a voice? Who in the hell listens to these two people?

These two sure are silent about the New Black Panthers, arent they?

There is absolutely NOTHING Reverend about these two. Nothing. They are a bunch of fake phonies who use playing the race card to get rich. In fact, they have shown with their own words and actions that they themselves are racist.

Hey Jackson, Lebron made how much money in Clevland? Last time I checked, slaves dont get paid millions. The Cavs owner shouldve held back, but Lebron shouldve held back his ego. They way he departed the team, made a skeptical of it all, and how he treated the Cavs on his departure didnt help things.

I am really getting sick of all the race this and race that things that never seem to go away. There will always be biggots and racists, but the constant use of the race card on both sides do more harm than anything else. And these two idiotic, hypocritical, loud mouth, tweedle dee and tweedle dum racists need to keep their traps shut and maybe start acting like the Reverends they think they are. Start helping the community. You care so much about one race, the black race, then get into those communities and teach and help them rough communities that need it. Reach out to them to stop hurting eachother, reach out to them to start believing in themselves. Reach out to them to start being better parents. You always cry about the projects this and projects that that have all these problems. Instead of blaming it all on the white devil, get your lazy bums out there and start helping and spreading a peaceful message. Spend some of your millions youve made off of race baiting and put it back into those communities! Reverends my ass!

Last but not least, more people in the black community need to start standing up and telling these two to shut it and get lost.

LOL!

Jesse Hijackson - the most bored man on the face of the planet, save Al Sharptongue - is at it again. If Steve Nash left Phoenix for the Lakers and was condemned by Robert Sarver (Suns Owner), would we hear the same outcry?

All pro atheletes in today's world are mercenaries - they will go where the money is. You will never see another Maurice Richard, Walter Payton, Magic Johnson, George Brett etc play an entire career for one team. It's all about the $$.

And FYI - "feelings of betrayal" can also mean "going to **** in the playoffs."

Jackson and Sharpton do have some talent, I must say. Those two can pull out the race card in nearly any situation. Granted, they are wrong most of the time, but you gotta give it to em. Two bigots themselves, they still manage to get on major news outlets, make millions, and have major influence...even with the majority of the country knowing they are hypocritical, fake reverend, racists.
