Don't you know that the liberals and progressives think that if a foreign country has a spill that their oil will not come to the US shores because we are not the ones drilling? Didn't you know this little tidbit of liberal/progressive physics? The oil can THINK and CHOOSE where to go!
So is the argument that we should despoil our waters first before the other countries get a chance to? I'm failing to see the logic.
Its all poilitics in Washington now days which is why the country is in the mess it is today.By the time they are through we will lose the 20% of oil in the gulf as drilling rigs are moved. Rememeber that the embargo inthe 70's ony effected 15% of imported oil. My guess is they will try to balme it on Bush if their are lines i the future.
Charlie Christ is now campaining against oil drilling near the FL coast, while the Chinese are drilling close to Key West.
Let foreign countries drill, drill, drill and have their people make money have jobs, etc. and still risk the shores of FL. but don't let the US do the same.
If Christ was so much against the drilling he would say this out loud and try to prevent other countries from drilling close to Florida but he seems to either forget this because it is not helping his selfish cause of becoming the next one to go to Washington who can flip flop and not handling in the best interest of Floridians.
What about the jobs drilling can create, etc...How many times did it really go wrong and if he wants to prevent another disaster like this BP disaster from happening than he should try to get oil companies to have more safety preventions.
If Christ wants to stop us from using oil than he should be the an example and drive a car that doesn't use oil or take a bike!
Under Christ more money and jobs will go abroad!
How is Charlie Crist going to force Cubans to not allow drilling in their waters?
I don't want drilling in Florida either, but Cuba is out of our jurisdiction.

I assume you are talking about the planned drilling in Cuba's waters. I don't think Crist, Florida or the US has any authority to prevent that. Even if Christ were alive, he wouldn't have the authority.
