Why middle-class Lefties believe stupid things – because their friends do – Telegraph Blogs

I hope liberals do read this, after all the author quotes stuff out of a Cass Sunstein book on groupthink who is of course, an Obama appointee so I believe it has an objective analysis.

Do you think "groupthink" only applies to middle class left wing liberals? Did your friends tell you that?

They believe it because that is what they were indoctrinated with from birth. The media has, until recently, been controlled by the left and democrats. Think back to Network News, if you study Walter Cronkite and that group, they virtually WORSHIPPED the Kennedys and ALL THINGS Kennedy.

They believe it because, in effect they didn't study it. They didn't search for the truth. They believed what they were told by the media, and their parents were told this and their parents parents.

Now that the unbiased truth has been revealed, I can now understand my complete ignorance on developing my entire belief system and now must become a TeaBagger!

I have and always will think for myself.
I believe half of what I see, and absolutely none of what I hear.
You don't even make the list.
Speak for yourself, generalizer.

theunbrainwashed? How ironic.

maybe we think the way we do since we acutally give a hoot about all races (instead of just "my fellow white man") and believe that if the weakest are well off, then everyone else tends to be, as opposed to make the strongest stronger (me, me, me) and if everyone else fails, that's their fault, so screw them.

Any "study" that has name calling in its title is immediately debunked.

Ditto. I grew up listening to right wing talking points at the dinner table.
