If I were the governor of one of these states, I'd have no choice but to order the state guard to the border roads and not allow any federal law enforcement in the state. Any federal officer found in the state is to be arrested. Any "federal ruling" would be ignored, and the law, whatever it is, would still be in effect.

And of course, also return all the federal tax money your state receives, which, if my memory serves about Kentucky, is more than they send in. And dismantle the interstate highways. And toss out the FAA from your airports. And accept food that was packaged without FDA approval. And refuse Medicare assistance from the feds. And send back all social security checks for your citizens.

Otherwise you are just allowing states to pick and choose which federal laws and benefits you will accept. Which sounds like chaos to me.

Indeed. Kentucky is very dependent on the generosity of more prosperous states.

Ah, we can't go to the next question until you or the thread's author make some attempt to answer the question as asked.

Maybe you need to pinch yourself to determine if you are actually in the real world or just dreaming. What exactly do you think the sanctuary cities are doing? THEY ARE IGNORING FEDERAL LAW!

If they are, then they are wrong. Just like states that do the same are wrong.

Besides, they are ignoring the enforcement of one federal law, and not saying they have the legal authority to completely nullify all federal laws. That's a big, big difference.
