Figured I'd put it out there to see how the anti Ground Zero Mosque group feels about this.
Its a very visceral reaction, one I can understand somewhat.
I'm sure there are those who hate all Muslims, and see any mosque built anywhere as being an abomination.
However, many people I've talked to about the mosque simply wish it could be somewhere else. No one, with a rational argument, that I've talked to wants to invade their right to religious freedom.
I can understand New Yorkers, and those who lost loved ones, not wanting the mosque there. Its a very real and painful reminder to them. And I think that the Imam may very well move to another location by the time all this is said and done with. If he doesn't, thats fine. I'm sure they'll have protests outside daily.
Freedom of religion and freedom to gather in protest. Both are protected under the Constitution, and both can be practiced equally well.
The idiots that think all Muslims are bad, nothing you can do to change their mind anyway.
Or it the other party gets in, throw away the suits and ties and don the white sheets and hoodies.
