New York - Dutch politician of 'Fitna' fame Geert Wilders is to speak at a rally in New York on September 11 to protest plans to build a mosque close to Ground Zero. Politicians in the Netherlands fear the worst for the country's image abroad.

During the rally being organised by a group called Stop Islamization Of America (SIAO) which wants to prevent the building of a mosque so close to Ground Zero, Wilders will be one of the speakers -- which also include Newt Gingrich and other prominent politicians, plus 9/11 family members.

I hope Wilders has a good security detail to protect him from the peace loving muslims.

If there was a proposal to build a mosque almost anywhere else, nobody would give it a second thought. But at [involuntary shudder] GROUND ZERO? Heaven forfend! Sacrilege!

It doesn't matter. I invite everyone to read those words one more time: it doesn't matter. This isn't a real issue, it's just a lot of media-inspired hype to whip people into a frenzy. The community board in that part of Manhattan didn't vote the proposal down. If the people who actually live there don't have a problem, how did this become everyone else's business?

It became everyone's business on 9/11 when the muslim terrorists attacked America. It was not an attack on Manhattan, but an attack on the American way of life. All people who love America suffered to some degree on that day. Our brave service members, who probably come from all 50 states are fighting to destroy the enemy and keep all of us safe. It is all of America's business.

^^^ Worth repeating. Those in the planes hijacked by radical Islamic jihaddists, in WTC twin towers, the Pentagon, and rescue workers killed in the process of rescuing or after, took the hit for ALL Americans on 9/11/2001.

Geert Wilders is a lone voice in the wilderness of sanity on the subject of radical Islam. His courage in the face of constant death threats is an inspiration. The citizens of the USA would be wise to take note of his knowledge.

Just because this doesn't matter to you do you choose to be so unaware as to understand the symbolic significance to radical Islam? Your opinion does not matter to them. To radical Islam the building of THIS Mosque = victory symbol of a nation conquored by Islam. Denial kills twice.

Many know this but their prejudice against their own over rules their common sense .
So far the liberals and 'most' blacks have done all they could to bite off their nose to spite their face .

Way I see it is they too will live in the bondage they are setting us all up for .

Sadly, the debate has inspired bigots nationwide. They're now out in force to stop a mosque in Temecula, CA.

Perhaps a modicum of respect for the Muslim victims, first responders and servicemen would be in place?
