BRIDGEPORT -- About a dozen right-wing Christians, carrying placards and yelling "Islam is a lie," angrily confronted worshippers outside a Fairfield Avenue mosque Friday.
"Jesus hates Muslims," they screamed at worshippers arriving at the Masjid An-Noor mosque to prepare for the holy month of Ramadan. One protester shoved a placard at a group of young children leaving the mosque. "Murderers," he shouted.

People like this give normal Christians a bad name...What a bunch of idiots...and whats with this Operation Save America????? I mean really people if you want someone to listen, speak intelligently...WTH..I can't even attempt to defend this. Even when anti-abortion protesters are out, I feel like running them over!
"Jesus Hates Muslims"? Looks like Fred Phelps found a new slogan to use.
I doubt these people are from Connecticut, a state that's not known for religious extremism. They're likely out-of-towners taking their hate message on the road.
Reading further, these people are identified as being part of "Operation Save America" which is the same group as "Operation Rescue". I think the anti-abortionists are trying to hitch a ride on the anti-Ground Zero mosque sentiment.
Just more phony outrage from the usual freaks who give religion a bad name.
