I've said it before - the future of conservatism in the US is two white Christian males yelling "RINO" at each other.

WND has decided to purge Ann Coulter from the speaker list on their "Taking America Back" conference due to concerns over her ideological purity. Ms. Coulter's transgression? She speaks to gays. Republican gays, for sure - the group is called "GOProud" - but gays, none the less. Can't have that.

As Farah, editor of WND puts it, there's a principle at play here: "Ultimately, as a matter of principle, it would not make sense for us to have Ann speak to a conference about taking America back when she clearly does not recognize that the ideals to be espoused there simply do not include the radical and very 'unconservative' agenda represented by GOProud."

Good thinking, Farah. Strive for ideological purity, stay true to the core principles. Mercilessly purge the counter-revolutionary elements from your midst.

I'm a gay republican myself, but this is just plain silly. About 30% of gays are republican and voted republican in the 2008 presidential election.
