Israel will not attack Iran because it would not be in their interest. Iran is effectively Israel's ally against the surrounding feudal Arab states that very much fear what Israel and Iran represent with their "democracy". These countries have much more in common than either has with a state like Saudi Arabia. Besides Iran is a useful foil against politicians in the US that realize we have been being played like a puppet by the Israeli Right Wing.
You maintain a "Jewish" state with a minority population by using intimidation, fear, force and economic discrimination just like any other colonial power. The European derived population of Israel is effectively a colony of the European, including Russian, Jewish culture. They have not adapted to their “new land” and are still trying to get their “new land” to adapt to them. Even Job didn’t have that much patience.
If they target us, it will be because of the realistic perception that we are Israeli stooges.
You know that not true. Islams goal is to wipe out all religions except for their own. Jews are on top of their list. Christians have already been nearly wiped out in the Middle East (except for Lebanon & Syria).
I don't agree that joining WW2 on the German side would've been any morally or strategically worse than joining it on the Soviet side. (There was really no good reason to join either one.)

If you had been around 70 years ago, and you had had your way, the Nazis would have won WWll. We can only imagine the horrific cosequences of your policy.

Israel DOES NOT have the 2nd largest air force in the World. Maybe the 2nd best trained (perhaps best) but not the 2nd largest.
You're right. In fact Israel has the 17th largest air force. Interestingly, Syria and Libya have larger air forces, although the quality in general of the aircraft may not be as good. World Air Forces
The quality of the pilots is hard to compare, but from performance in combat an argument can certainly be made that Israel may have the best trained.

I think the great majority of people would agree that keeping out of WWll would have led to disaster. And equating the actions of Nazi Germany and the Soviet Union in WWll is ridiculous. Read "The Third Reich at War" by Richard Evans.

I never equated the actions of the Soviet Union with those of of Nazi Germany, I will however equate the actions of Stalin with those of Hitler. Stalin was a mass murderer, over 7,000,000 Ukrainians deliberately starved to death proves that.

The poster to whom I responded (in post #34) stated that the US should not have intervened in WWll. My point was that isolationists of both the far left and far right do not believe that America has any moral or strategic interests in the world worth defending, and that that policy would have led to a Nazi victory, which would have been disastrous.
You somehow are attempting to turn it into something else, which is an entirely different topic. And even though I totally disagree with you on it I won't fall into the trap and let you pull the thread there.
