you cannot condem something as morally wrong and euse that as a blanket statement. Each person has their own morals, belifs, and opinions. To you it may be against your morals and beliefs to have sexual encounters or desires with someone of the same sex, however to others? It may be perfectly ok.
"Evil"? No. Perhaps if you find it morally wrong for whatever reasons but are still homosexual, as then you feel harmed by your sexual preference. Which comes back to individual opinions.
I think theres nothing wrong with homosexuality except for the fact that too many people try to keep others from accepting it because of their personal beliefs. People's types are their types, who are we to say you aren't allowed to love whomever you fall for?
"# morally bad or wrong; "evil purposes"; "an evil influence"; "evil deeds"
"# Evil is defined as something that is immoral, causes pain or harm, is offensive, or threatening. In many cultures evil is a broad term used to describe what are seen as subjectively harmful deeds that are labeled as such to steer moral support. Evil is usually contrasted with good."
So as always neither side of the issue agrees but one side bashes what has been in the moral mainstream throughout much of history.
Being homosexual is one thing but pressuring the majority to put it on equal footing with what is mainstream for society throughout most of that same history is asking an awful lot.
Then the demonization of heterosexuals that don't see it the same way begins.
Strange indeed.
I see "conservative religious" used as a slur.
But we were told days like this would come.
Left-handedness was not so long ago seen as a sign of the devil by many religious people.
Marraige for one.
Homosexuals do have all of the same privilages as I do.
I can't marry a man either.
Don't pretend for a moment that I am not familiar with homosexuals and what they go through. I have known many up close and personal including my Dad.
I held them in no different regard due to that and loved them too.
I will say that the minority that create a ruckus in society have made it harder.
Pushing that in peoples faces has caused more bad blood than anything else.
If a person is homosexual that is their life. It does not require society as a whole to change long held societal norms (not meaning abnormal).
By long held societal norms, a "voter" could only be a male property owner.
By long held societal morms, rape in marriage was not illegal.
By long leld societal norms, blacks were only partly human.
By long held societal norms, exploitative child labor was legal.
Long held societal norms change....and rightly so.
These changes often only come about because of people who "create a ruckus in society"
First don't get your panties all in a bunch, i saw this was heading right to the same old thing Religion over and over agian so I threw in a new thing for you to cry about instead of the same old thing LOL if ya don't want to see others views don't start a post.
Mental disorder, simple as that. continue on.
That's sad that you have a mental disorder. I hope you are seeking help from health professionals.
The only people who would say homosexuality is "evil" are conservative religious types. I try to disassociate myself from them as much as possible.
It's silly to think that any sexual interaction between consenting adults is "evil". We're sexual beings, and human sexuality can be very complicated. As far as we know, homosexuality has always existed, and unless there's some scientific intervention someday, it will continue to exist. In a free society, I think it's best to live and let live.
Human sexuality becomes complicated only when it is divorced from its intended purpose. By acknowledging that we are sexual beings you are recognizing the existence of order in creation. When that order is violated there are consequences. One may choose to ignore that order but that does not negate the fact that there is order in nature. That's why Catholic theology teaches that homosexuality is a disordered sexuality. Same-sex attraction is a disorder that happens in nature, but it is a disorder nonetheless. So homosexuals are not condemned because of the disorder. but they are if they act out the disorder. Similarly pedophilia--the inordinate attraction to children--is a disordered sexuality. It, too, violates the fundamental purpose of human sexuality--procreation--and thus violates the order that exists in creation. But if a pedophile does not act on his disrodered impulse there is no fault.
In other words, you want to see homosexuals treated as second-class citizens. Sorry, but we aren't going back in time.
As older people die off, America is becoming more accepting of those who differ from the norm.
When a person makes a bizarre behavior choice, they are choosing the consequences. Nowhere in the Constitution is there a right to the approval of others for individual behavior choices.
Once again, you have clearly outlined the agenda that is vehemently denied by gay lifestyle advocates everywhere. Independent thought shall be caught in its earliest stages and expunged. The young shall be indoctrinated and absorbed. The old will die. Resistance is futile.
