Nancy Reagan ( not on your list. Why not? )

She did so much for so many people is why.

Classy smart lady who gave back over and over again.

Her generosity is unmatched.

Barbara Bush runs a close second.

I'm actually puzzled as to why Barbara Bush even made the list.

Maybe because of the following notable quote?
Quote:
What I'm hearing, which is sort of scary, is they all want to stay in Texas. Everyone is so overwhelmed by the hospitality. And so many of the people in the arena here, you know, were underprivileged anyway, so this is working very well for them.

Eleanor Roosevelt. Why isn't Nancy Reagan on this list?

This poll should have had more choices to be fair. It probably should have included both Hillary clinton and Laura Bush, but probably could have left out Barbara Bush. Betty Ford perhaps. Each of the notable First Ladies had a special gift that she gave the country. Whenever you drive a highway and see no billboards and instead see wildflowers galore (at least in Texas), you can thank Lady Bird Johnson for that. Laura Bush, imo could have done more to keep her husband from messing up the country. but then maybe Lady Bird could have done the same? Eleanor Roosevelt was a pioneer in her day, perhaps the most active and influential FL ever.

Her astrologer told her not to!

I agree. However, if I guess the poll means of those listed. I, too, think Eleanor Roosevelt.
